At Yogy Rama we have partnered with Ekal Vidyalaya, to form 1 for little hands with a mission to educate children in the Himalayas.
Part of the proceeds from each purchase of our exquisite scarves supports the education of little children in the rural Himalayan regions. So literally, purchasing a scarf can increase the literacy rate.

Each scarf sold funds a child dream to go to a school for a year. Primary education includes a curriculum of language, mathematics, general education/science, moral values/storytelling, healthcare, handicrafts, yoga and physical education. The school provides the supply of educational tools and resources for a child to participate more fully and effectively in school.

Living at subsistence level, parents need the labour of their children, particularly the girls, to help the family feed itself. This means that they cannot always afford to release their children to attend school. The school operates in the afternoon, allowing the children to help their parents at home in the morning.
